Planning is well underway for the 2027 Gŵyl Gerdd Dinas Powys Music Festival, taking place from 7–16 May 2027, and we’d love you to be part of it.
Our Annual General Meeting takes place on Monday 5 October 2026 at 7:00pm at Dinas Powys Library & Activity Centre, Fairoaks, and everyone is welcome to come along, hear more about the festival and help shape our plans for the year ahead.
The AGM is an opportunity to look back at this year’s festival, hear about our plans for 2027 and, importantly, have your say and share your ideas for the future of the festival.
Gŵyl Gerdd Dinas Powys Music Festival is a volunteer-led, not-for-profit community music festival, bringing live music and musical experiences to Dinas Powys.
Each year, the festival brings together professional performers, local musicians, schools, young people and the wider community through a varied programme of concerts, performances, workshops and events.
From introducing audiences to something new to creating opportunities for local people to perform, participate and enjoy music together, the festival is about making great music an accessible and enjoyable part of village life.
In 2027, we’ll be doing it all again, with the 27th Dinas Powys Music Festival taking place from 7–16 May.
But a festival like this doesn’t happen on its own.
Behind every concert, workshop and event is a huge community effort, with volunteers giving their time in all sorts of ways to turn the plans on paper into the festival audiences experience each year.
And you don’t need to be a musician on-stage to play a part.
There are opportunities to help throughout the year and during the festival itself. You might be able to help welcome audiences and performers, lend a hand at events, distribute posters and publicity around the village, support front-of-house activities, help behind the scenes, or simply give us a little of your time when you can.
Perhaps you have a particular skill or experience you could bring. Maybe you’d enjoy being part of the buzz on event days. Or perhaps you’ve got an idea for an event, performer or activity you’d love to see as part of a future festival.
However you’d like to contribute, every bit of support helps us deliver a bigger and better festival for Dinas Powys.

The Gwyl Gerdd Dinas Powys Music Festival is a not for profit organisation with a committee comprising of local members of the community within Dinas Powys. The festival hosts approximately 15 events every year, evenly split between paid and free community events. Read more...
