The Twyn is the historic village green at the heart of Dinas Powys, surrounded by local shops, cafes and pubs. A longstanding gathering place for the community, it gained its stone boundary wall and drinking fountain in 1899.
At its centre stands the Grade II listed cenotaph, first dedicated in 1935 to commemorate those who died in the First World War, with the names of those lost in the Second World War added later.
During the festival, the Twyn is home to our free community events, bringing live music into the heart of the village. It’s a welcoming outdoor setting where residents and visitors of all ages can come together and enjoy the festival.
The Gŵyl Gerdd Dinas Powys Music Festival is a not for profit organisation with a committee comprising of local members of the community within Dinas Powys. The festival hosts approximately 15 events every year, evenly split between paid and free community events. Read more...
