Originally built in 1877 as an English-speaking Wesleyan church, Dinas Powys Methodist Church has been part of village life for almost 150 years. Its congregation grew alongside the village during the late Victorian period, with reports describing a flourishing church community by 1901.
Today, the church on Mount Road continues to serve as both a place of worship and a welcoming community resource. During the festival, it provides an intimate setting for live music, bringing performers and audiences together close to the village centre.
The Gŵyl Gerdd Dinas Powys Music Festival is a not for profit organisation with a committee comprising of local members of the community within Dinas Powys. The festival hosts approximately 15 events every year, evenly split between paid and free community events. Read more...
