Well what a fantastic start to the festival this year! Two concerts held at the Parish Hall were a great success.

On Saturday, the experiment for 2016 was introducing a festival dinner into the programme, giving the opportunity for Dinas Powys residents and beyond to have a night out, a delicious three course menu from Spiros Caterers, table and stage performances from Magician Nathan Thompson, rounded off with the whole audience on their feet dancing to The Saints Big Band.

Dinas Powys’ very own orchestra entertained a packed hall of 160 guests in the Parish Hall on Sunday. The orchestra, joined by young cellist, Ben Tarlton performed Mendelssohn’s Hebrides Overture ‘Fingal’s Cave’, Schumann’s ’Cello Concerto in A minor, And Mozart’s Symphony no. 41 in C Major ‘Jupiter’.

Tickets are selling very quickly for the festival events in the week. Advance booking is highly recommended as many events will be sold out for those wishing to purchase tickets at the door.
