The Forget-me-not Chorus is a charity for people with dementia and their families, currently running three community choirs and three care home choirs in Cardiff and Newport. Each week, the choirs meet to sing, rehearse and have fun under the baton of Music Director, Kate Woolveridge and the FMN team. The choirs are more than just a singing group and use different arts activities, such as dance and creative writing, to create works that are meaningful and relevant. These projects run throughout the year, each designed to take the participants on a journey together with the person they love, showing that a good quality of life can be achieved together, despite dementia. The Forget-me- not Chorus is testament to the potential of song, music and shared creativity to enrich and enhance people’s lives, currently reaching over 200 people with dementia and their families every week.
